Star Wars comics on Hoopla!
May the 4th is coming up quickly! If you’re like me, you’ll be throwing on a Star Wars t-shirt and watching your favorite movie of the series on Monday. Sounds like a great day to me! However, if you can’t wait until then or would like to see some of the extended universe, we have the comics available to you digitally. Hoopla has a mix of miniseries and ongoing series for all your Star Wars needs.
One miniseries that is collected into a one-shot edition is the Han Solo story. In this, he goes undercover in an exciting and infamous starship race, the Dragon Void, on mission to rescue informants and spies and find the traitor in the rebellion. Or if you’d like a story from the other side of that power couple, try out Leia’s story where she goes on a one-woman quest to fight the empire and save fugitive Alderaanians after the destruction of their home planet.
If you’d like something with a bit more to it, I’d highly suggest you look into the tie in series that started in 2015. This series follow Luke, Leia, and Han as they fight the empire and fills in some of the gaps between the movies in the original trilogy. This series really adds another layer to the Star Wars universe.
Ok this is all well and good, but maybe you want to understand the power of the dark side. Well do I have just the series for you! Darth Vader got his very own ongoing series in 2015 along side the other tie in series. This series follows the war from his point of view as he seeks vengeance against the rebels and investigates the emperor’s plans.
This series also introduces Doctor Aphra who now has her own series! Unfortunately, this series is not available on Hoopla, but we do have in person at the library waiting for you once we open again! In the meantime check out all these Star Wars comics and more on Hoopla! May the force be with you!
