First Chapter Fridays

First Chapter Fridays is a no risk, “try before you buy” way to test drive a book to see if it is the right fit for you. Make your decision as you listen to the first chapter read to you by one of youth librarians. Each title chosen is available through the Hoopla app in ebook or audiobook formats as well as our physical collections.

Come socialize online with other crafters! Whether you knit, crochet, loom weave, sew, or embroider, Keep Calm and Carry Yarn is the group for you!

For our September meeting, Keep Calm & Carry Yarn will be exlporing the world of amigurumi, the art of knitted or crocheted stuffed yarn sculptures. This month we’ll be making an adorable amigurumi pumpkin to get ready for October! These are cute in a bowl for decoration or could be made into a garland for your home. If you are curious about amigurumi or would just like a place to virtually socialize with other crafters while working on your own projects, please register for the program!
