Gamers once again take on the role of a hunter tasked with eradicating troublesome monsters and then using the loot, weapons, and armor they acquire to grow stronger and take on more powerful beasts. The action is set at a time when dragons are migra ting to a land called the New World, and players join the Fifth Fleet of monster hunters as they track down a giant elder dragon named Zorah Magdaros. The connected environments in Monster Hunter: World have been designed to be more lifelike than previous entries in the series, with realistic ecosystems, daylight cycles, variable weather, and destructible terrain.
