Autumn is upon us and what better way to embrace the chilly weather than by curling up with a good, seasonal book? Follow bakers whipping up spooky confections in Jenn McKinlay’s Dark Chocolate Demise or help an orchard farmer solve a cold case with A Gala Event by Sheila Connolly.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which for the protagonists of these stories means carving up some justice alongside their turkey. Pie shop owner and amateur sleuth Ella Mae LeFaye cracks the case in Pecan Pies and Homicides by Ellery Adams.
