New Youth Collections!
Over the past year, the Youth Department has worked on creating several new collections to serve our families. Because these collections can be a little harder to find in the catalog, we wanted to highlight them here!
Preschool Storytime Kits (Ages 2-6)
Bring storytime home with you! Each kit will give you the tools you need to do an at-home storytime with your preschooler. New themes include construction, patterns, puzzles, and outer space! In each kit you will find 3 books, interactive toys and a sheet filled with storytime rhymes.
STEAM Kits (Ages 6-10)
Keep your future scientist happy with these STEAM activities! Each kit provides an educational activity and books designed to help you deep dive into a topic. Kit topics include Dinosaurs, Minerals, and Stop Motion Animation.
Discovery Kits (Ages 5-9)
Discovery kits are intended to help you and your child explore learning how to read. Age-appropriate books and reading games center around fluency, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, or comprehension.
Books that Talk (All Ages!)
Over the past year, we have begun a collection of books that include media players that let you to listen to the story as you read! We have picture books, nonfiction titles, beginning readers, and chapter books.
