Thank You Auburn Hills!
Thank you to all the voters and our library patrons who supported the library millage. The AHPL strives to offer the best service possible to the community and was honored to be the recipient of the State Librarians Citation of Excellence Award in 2021.
With the additional funding, the AHPL has been able to add more new copies of popular titles, and additional online services including Kanopy, allowing patrons to stream more movies. We have also increased our check out technology collection, which includes; hotspots, Chromebooks, and iPads. Our Library of Things collection offers board games, knitting needles, CD players, and recently we have added a Seed Library with various flowers and vegetables.
In addition to a growing collection, we have also expanded more programs for all ages and introduced pop-up libraries around the community to do story-times, and technology help, including how to use our online resources. The AHPL will begin offering seasonal Sunday hours between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
Over the next few years, the library will continue to upgrade the building and services to the community, which will include an outdoor patio, after-hour lockers for patrons to pick-up holds, and a library lending vending kiosk to give patrons 24/7 access to books, movies and more.
